Note: If you are working on the Alloy template site in Episerver 7 or have a project deriving from that, see Updating a CMS project based on the Alloy template site before continuing; if you are running 7.5 or later, you can skip this step.To install a specific version, go to the Package Manager Console in Visual Studio and make sure it points to the Episerver Nu Get feed.If you install SQL Server from a remote share, you must use a domain account that has read permissions on the remote share. Before upgrading, see Upgrade a SQL Server Failover Cluster Instance.
If not already on Version 4, you MUST upgrade your Bootloader via the documentation linked below before using any firmware from 13and newer.
Note: Nu Get package manager has to be version 2.8.50126.477 or higher to install Episerver packages.
Updates are published weekly, affected packages are listed with release notes.
To upgrade the primary, take it out of load-balancing which will divert all of it's requests to the secondary server.
Do your upgrade, put it back in to rotation, and then repeat the process with the second server.Carefully read the package descriptions to ensure a smooth upgrade procedure.
